Our farm is the inheritance of our ancestors that we must preserve and care for. It is located in the wine-growing areas of La Rapita and Fonellas, located east of the Priorat Designation of Origin, next to the town of Porrera, forming part of the mountainous relief with steep slopes that have the famous “Licorella” as ground. Sheets of Slatestone give a strong mineral character to the wines and that has as a great virtue the ability to absorb water, avoiding moisture problems, and helping to preserve the health of plants and grapes.

It has an exposure to the four cardinal points, South, East, North, and West. At 305 meters of altitude in the lower part ascending to 405 in the highest peak. With slopes ranging from 21% to 52% of the steepest slopes.

Between both farms, we have a plantation of 7 hectares of vine, 35,000 vines. The red varieties in order of importance are Cariñena, Garnacha, Sira, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Picapoll, and Red Muscat. For the white varieties, Garnacha, Viognier, Macabeo and Moscatel stand out.

Due to the characteristics of territory with slopes and terraces, mechanization is impossible. Therefore, most of the work is done manually, especially the harvest, which achieves high-quality control of the grapes harvested.

FONELLAS VINEYARD

They are our oldest vineyards. They were planted in 1896, 3 years after the Phylloxera arrived in Priorat. They are 0.75 hectares of vineyard, located on steep slopes, with a drop of 44.3% and a totally western exposure. The varieties planted are Cariñena that occupies 92% of the surface, Garnacha with 5%, the Black Picapoll, the Black Muscat, and the White Garnacha that occupy the remaining 3%. Trellis system is used for the conduction for a total of 3300 strains, which produce an average of 1400kg of grapes, which represents 0.42 grams of grapes for each strain.

LA RÁPITA VINEYARD

The vineyards in this area have been planted since the year 1996. They are 6.25 Ha, with an average unevenness that ranges between 21% and 52%. From 320 meters of altitude to 405 meters and are oriented to three different exposures, in the South, East, and North.
The Cariñena, Syrah, and Merlot can be found in the South, the Garnacha and the Cabernet in the East, and the white grape strains in the North. The conduction of the strains is divided into driving and trellis systems at 60-40% respectively. And in the same proportion, they are settled on traditional slopes and on terraces, with a total of 32,000 vines, with an average production of 25,000kg of grapes.
