As a way of bringing our wines closer to visitors, in 2018 we began to make visits to our family winery and our vineyards. To offer a better service, we have designed three options for visits that may include a tour of our vineyards, the winery, and a wine tasting with pairing. Our visits are personalized so we can adapt to all your needs. They are made by a member of the family, the winemaker Salus Alvarez, Fina Duran, or by people who are close to the family and who share our passion and commitment to produce high-quality wines from the grapes that grow on our farms located in the famous Priorat wine region, specifically, in our beautiful town of Porrera.
During your experience, you will have the opportunity to see, learn, feel, and share with your friends and with the Alvarez Duran Family. You will try wines that have been made with great respect for our land. We want to make them feel like compatriots and like old friends. We are looking forward to receiving you!
VISIT THE VINEYARDS, THE WINERY AND TASTING OF 3 WINES WITH PAIRING.
We will receive you in our home, which is also the site of our winery. From there, we will walk through the old town of Porrera that has been built in the 12th century and then reach our vineyards. We will visit 2 of our farms: La Rapita and el Fonellas. Along the way, the guide will tell you about the daily work in the vineyard. You will be able to learn about the famous slate soil called Licorella, that characterizes the lands of Priorat. You will learn how to differentiate some varieties of vines and learn a little more about nature. After this experience, we will return to the winery where you will see the facilities where we make the wine. On the first floor, you will see where in the harvest season, the grapes are received and pressed to carry out the proper controls for the winemaking. You will see the INOX fermentation tanks and some barrels. On the second floor, you will see the room where our wines are stored in Barrica and finally, on the third floor, you will have a dynamic, fun, and sensory wine tasting. You will taste 3 wines, our Dual, the Porrera, and the nectar of Los Angeles that will be paired with food that will make you discover new sensations and be surprised with flavors that can be felt with the least expected pairings with our wines.
