Viticulture: The trellis conduction system is used for the majority of the strains, with a short pruning looking for a balanced production and vegetative development without too many interventions.
Soil: Llicorella. Small sheets of slate that gives a pronounced mineral character to the wines. The vineyards are located on steep slopes and terraces.
Varieties: 90% Carignan, 5% Grenache, 5% old black and white grape vines from the same plot of old vineyard.
Elaboration: Alcoholic fermentation with spontaneous yeast. Fermentation in a stainless steel tank. Aged for 14 months in new and second-year barrels.
Tasting Notes: In the nose, it is powerful and mature. It presents aromas of thyme, blackberry, spice, and vanilla. In the mouth, it shows the typicality of the old Carignan of the area with elegant tannins. Its maturity and acidity give it a perfect balance and great persistence. A wine with a lot of personality.
